Denim: High vs Low

HIGH                  LOW

Denim: High vs Low

Welcome to the first high vs. low post!!!  I am excited to do a continuous segment about finding those trendy goods at prices we can all afford! While I can obsess over designer goods nothing makes me happier than finding a good deal.  I believe in investing in quality items for your wardrobe, but I don't think there is a girl in the world that doesn't love a little Forever 21.  I shop sales, thrifts, and lower priced stores like H&M so I can afford that coveted piece I've been drooling over.  Here I have taken three pieces and found them in high and low price points.  The left column boasts some pretty hefty price tags while the right side is all under $100.  Its good to know where ever you stand financially you can still stay looking fresh!

Ella Moss

neon skirt at www.asos.com

Rayban sunnies :)

I ordered this super cute Ella Moss top the other day and I thought I would share some more pieces and info about the line.  I imagine you have heard of the brand as it's widely available online and in retailers like Barney's, Nordstrom, and Bloomindales.  The owners describe the line as "hip, quirky, fashionable", and I couldn't agree more.  The LA based line has a certain bohemian feel, but really speaks to people of many styles and ages.  My favorite part about the clothes is they are so comfortable! I'm sure you will find a piece you can't live without. Happy shopping!!

Lovely neutrals

Saturday night my husband and I decided to get dressed up and go out to a nice dinner.  Any excuse to accessorize is okay with me! Neutrals are another current trend, and I always find them so classic.  It seems you get so much life out of a great neutral shoe or bag.  Here I went all out.  I took this silk mini dress with beautiful back and sleeve slit details and paired it with a nude double wrap belt from BCBG and a long strand of mocha pearls with smokey quartz.  My trusty Miu Miu shoes gave a little color detail but stayed in the brown family.  I finished it off with this vintage ivory mesh clutch.  Even though I went totally neutral there is really nothing bland about it!

For the love of dogs

Even though Social Garb is predominantly fashion focused I had to share these shots of such sweet puppies.  Two of them are mine and I truly couldn't love them more.  They bring me so much joy, and that's what life is all about.  Have a wonderful weekend!!!  xoxo

Spring everywhere!

Spring is all around. It has really inspired me to take my camera everywhere, even on a quick errand run.  I shot these beautiful flower photos at my local Trader Joe's!  I have also been a on a bleaching kick.  It's always nice to personalize your wardrobe, and editing an existing pair of jeans is a great way to do just that.  I took an old pair of purple jeans, bundled them up with tons of rubber bands and went to town.  This is my finished product and I couldn't be happier!!  Let spring inspire you and see what you come up with :)

The LA way

THe LA way

In LA anything goes, and man is it inspiring!  My closet has definitely changed (grown) over the past few months.  I don't really limit myself to one particular style.  My thrift store pieces are just as special as my designer ones. Never be afraid to play with new looks and have fun!!!!
